Job Summary
Inpatient RN role (PRN days) performing ongoing patient assessments, formulating a goal-directed care plan based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes, and providing skilled care to achieve expected outcomes. Responsibilities include implementing nursing care, establishing care priorities, responding efficiently in emergency situations, applying knowledge of medical/surgical care, pain assessment, pharmacology and anesthetic agents, maintaining documentation in patient records, collaborating with the care team, maintaining BLS and ACLS as required, attending mandatory in-services and staff meetings, remaining flexible to adapt to new ideas, and ensuring patient rights are observed. Requires degree from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS (or completion within 60 days), 2 years of experience, and organizational skills for a fast-paced OR environment; CMSRN certification preferred and De-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS or successful completion within 60 days of hire date
- 2 years’ experience
- Must possess organizational skills to function in a fast paced OR environment
- Experience in phase II level of care
- Certification in CMSRN preferred
- Completion of De-escalation training within 30 days of hire
