Job Summary
Registered Nurse in inpatient OR-focused role (PRN Days). Responsibilities include performing ongoing systematic assessments, formulating goal-directed plans based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes, implementing care to achieve outcomes, establishing priorities based on patient needs and available resources, and documenting actions. Works within a team to deliver patient care, maintains BLS and ACLS as required, attends mandatory in-services and staff meetings, remains flexible to new ideas, adheres to patient rights policies, and follows physician orders with professional conduct. Must hold a Texas RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS (or complete within 60 days). Requires 2 years of experience, organizational skills, knowledge of medical/surgical care, de-escalation training within 30 days of hire; CMSRN certification preferred. Physical demands include lifting/carrying over 20 pounds, pushing/pulling over 25 pounds, and standing/walking several hours; reasonable accommodations may be provided. Remote options: on-site in McKinney, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS or successful completion within 60 days of hire date
- 2 years’ experience
- Must possess organizational skills to function in a fast paced OR environment
- Experience in phase II level of care
- Certification in CMSRN preferred
- Completion of De-escalation training within 30 days of hire
