Job Summary
Conduct patient-centered care for orthopedic patients, including pre- and post-operative management, peripheral/vascular assessments, and pain management. Administer medications, monitor side effects, and operate medical equipment like IV pumps and ventilators. Collaborate with physicians to implement individualized care plans, respond to medical emergencies, and perform life-saving interventions. Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Document assessments and interventions accurately, participate in audits and performance improvement initiatives, and engage in professional development to maintain clinical competency. Full-time nights shift (7p-7a) with 3x12s; $25,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits including student loan repayment.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
