Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Inpatient (Med/Surg) provides professional nursing care under the Nurse Practice Act, primarily working three 12-hour shifts with rotations including days, nights, weekends and holidays. This role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing school and current Pennsylvania licensure, necessitating completion of the licensing exam within six months for Graduate Nurses. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is also required, along with successful clearance completion as per HR policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing
- Current Pennsylvania licensure
- Other state licensure as required
- Valid Pennsylvania temporary practice permit for GN
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of acute care nursing experience
- Two years of Med/Surg experience
- Certification in this specialty area
Additional Requirements
- Graduate Nurse must complete the licensing examination within six months of hire date
