Job Summary
Registered Nurse position in inpatient care, full-time day shift in McKinney, TX. Responsibilities include ongoing assessment/data collection focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status; formulating goal-directed plans based on nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes; implementing care consistently; prioritizing patient care with available resources; handling emergencies per established protocols; applying knowledge in medical/surgical patient care, pain assessment, pharmacology and anesthetic agents, and safety/legal issues; performing timely documentation; collaborating with the care team; maintaining BLS and ACLS as required; attending mandatory trainings and staff meetings; remaining adaptable and supportive of new ideas; treating patients with hospital Patient Rights policy; willingness to assist with other duties as asked.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS or successful completion within 60 days of hire date
- 2 years’ experience
- Organizational skills for fast paced OR environment
- Experience in phase II level of care
- Certification in CMSRN preferred
- Completion of De-escalation training within 30 days of hire
