Job Summary
Coordinate dialysis care for hospitalized adults by conducting patient assessments, administering hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, and apheresis treatments. Implement the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate individualized care while collaborating with physicians and inter-professional teams. Document patient history, symptoms, and medications in compliance with state regulations and the Nurse Practice Act. Utilize technology to enhance quality care and supervise unlicensed personnel. Work 12-hour shifts with minimal call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
