Registered Nurse - Inpatient Diagnostic Imaging (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Assess, plan, educate, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate care for patients in the West Campus Diagnostic Imaging Department, incorporating family-centered principles and cost-effective strategies. Collect and document vital signs, height/weight, and patient data per site protocol; prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during treatments and testing. Administer medications and immunizations as directed by physicians, documenting all actions in the medical record. Provide patient and family education, coordinate referrals, triage complaints, and process specimens according to manufacturer instructions. Requires a BSN or equivalent with current Texas RN licensure, BLS certification, and nine months of professional nursing experience. Full-time or part-time schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Associate degree in nursing/related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and a signed agreement
- Technical Diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Must be currently enrolled in A Nursing Bridge Program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.
- RN License – Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
- 9 Months Professional Nursing Experience
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience: radiology/diagnostic imaging, acute care, ICU, and pediatrics
