Job Summary
Complete thorough nursing assessments and care plans for admitted adult patients in the crisis unit. Collaborate with the psychiatric prescriber to monitor medication, conduct education groups, and lead treatment management. Provide therapeutic interactions, oversee staff orientation, and direct least restrictive interventions during crises. Attend monthly supervisor and all-staff meetings while working Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 7 PM with shift differential eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of Arizona as a Registered Nurse
- 1 – 2 years of prior nursing experience
- Knowledge of Arizona Mental Health Law and the petition process
- Knowledge of State of Arizona and Nursing Rules and Regulations
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
- Saturday and Sunday 7 AM to 7 PM shift availability
- Eligibility for shift differential
- Drug screening required
- Drug-free workplace compliance
Desired Qualifications
- Post-degree experience of two years in the area of psychiatric nursing
- Experience in behavioral health prior to nursing license
