Job Summary
Registered Nurse Inpatient Clinical Care Manager who actively manages utilization review and coordinates discharge planning from admission to discharge. Collaborates with emergency and surgical services, nursing, physicians, and care-team staff; leads daily huddles to progress patient care; performs initial and follow-up stay reviews; applies Interqual/Indicia/MCG to determine patient status; ensures proper patient class per Medicare guidelines; maintains nursing standards per NYS act and practice standards; monitors healthcare economics and reimbursement methodologies; supports professional development and patient-centered care in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure in the State of New York
- Bachelor’s degree preferred according to NYS requirements
- 1-2 years progressive nursing experience
- Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of Interqual/MCG software and Medicare guidelines
