Registered Nurse, Infusion PRN

Job Summary
Assume accountability for providing comprehensive, patient-centered infusion therapy care, including administering chemotherapy, IV fluids, and blood products while adhering to ONS standards. Perform daily nursing assessments, document patient data and toxicity screens in the EMR, and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Recognize and respond to emergency situations, advocate for patient rights, and provide education on disease processes and discharge instructions to patients and caregivers. Work at least one shift per week from 9a-9:30p Monday through Friday, maintaining flexibility to float as needed while supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current state Registered Nurse License
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Current BLS (If not AHA certificate must be obtained 30 days of hire)
- Chemotherapy certification
- Minimum 2 years in oncology and/or medical-surgical units
Desired Qualifications
- enrolled within 6 months of hire and completed within 3 years from hire date
- ACLS (If not AHA certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification
- If not currently ONS certified, a Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Experience in multi-disciplinary approach to patient care
- Excellent infusion therapy-related skills (peripheral and central lines)
