Job Summary
Administer infusion treatments, calculate and mix prescription medications, and perform accurate IV insertions while monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures. Provide direct patient care by conducting admission assessments, completing daily flow sheet reviews, and communicating with providers via Telehealth as needed. Document patient assessments and ensure compliance with all clinical policies, HIPAA regulations, and inventory management protocols. Supervise assigned unlicensed direct patient care team members to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state professional nurse licensure
- Graduate of accredited Nursing Associates/Bachelor's degree
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum of 1yr IV experience
- Must have demonstrated record of and commitment to safety and excellence
- Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to complete accurate dose calculations and mix medications independently on a regular daily basis
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety requirements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- ONC Certified
- Infusion experience
- Certification in specialty/CRNI (Certified RN Infusion)
- ICU/ED experience
