Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients at the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center. Coordinate care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Maintain a current RN license and obtain required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or OCN based on unit needs. Previous infusion or oncology experience is preferred. Work as a PRN nurse with a schedule of 32+ hours per pay period to support the team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
