Job Summary
Collaborate with the health care team using evidence-based practice to provide safe, optimal patient outcomes across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Direct support staff in care delivery while performing general nursing duties with critical thinking skills and minimal supervision. Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and families to promote continuity of care. Maintain current Iowa RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications, applying technical judgment in acute care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN
- Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- High degree of empathetic listening skills
- Tact and kindness toward others
- Ability to communicate well verbally
- Must work effectively as a member of a team
- Basic computer knowledge
- Technical and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of nursing practices as they relate to acute care
