Job Summary
Manage direct patient care for all infusion outpatients actively undergoing treatment, including education, administration of chemotherapy, blood product transfusions, and other supportive care infusions. Ensure all patient care delivery meets established standards while maintaining full accountability. This position requires a current South Carolina RN license, two years of work experience with infusion nursing or oncology preferred, and BLS certification prior to the first clinical shift. Nurses without oncology experience must complete the ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy and ONS Basic Cancer courses within 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an ADN from an accredited school of nursing
- Two years work experience
- Current South Carolina RN license
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in infusion nursing
- Experience in oncology
- OCN certification
