Job Summary
Infusion Center Registered Nurse providing direct patient care and coordinating infusion therapy journeys. Responsibilities include administering infusion therapies (IV medications, biologics, and specialty infusions) with proficient venous access (peripheral IV; central line care preferred), monitoring for adverse reactions, educating patients and families, and documenting care in the EHR. Operates in indirect patient care and care coordination roles, including infection control, staff orientation, and collaboration with providers, pharmacy, insurance specialists, and other departments to facilitate timely care. Maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards, participates in hospital committees, supports patient navigation and scheduling, and delivers compassionate, patient-centered service. Requires NJ RN license, ACLS, and IV/chemotherapy certifications; BSN preferred. Schedule is full-time with flexible shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ RN license
- BSN preferred (active enrollment in BSN program acceptable with completion within three years)
- ACLS certification required
- IV (CNRI) or Chemotherapy (ONS) certification required
- Experience with infusion nursing and IV access including implanted devices (Portacath, PICC)
- Experience administering transfusions and specialty infusions preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a small-team environment
- Schedule flexibility including extended hours as needed
