Job Summary
Supervise and mentor Patient Care Technicians while directing daily patient care, including vital sign monitoring, pre-treatment assessments, and administering dialysis medications. Optimize staffing and scheduling efficiency using DCC Labor Logic to maintain safe staffing standards and coordinate workflow during assigned shifts. Monitor quality metrics such as Kt/V and access infections, review staff documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance, and communicate critical laboratory values to physicians. Educate patients and families on End Stage Renal Disease, fluid management, and dietary modifications, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient outcomes. Float between facilities as needed and work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- ADN required
- BSN preferred
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Maintains state licensure in good standing
- Current CPR Certification
- Must be PC proficient
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel a must
- Good presentation & communication skills
- Must be productive & resourceful with the ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to lift and lower solutions of up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to occasionally lift solutions of up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to exert up to 15 pounds of force
- Must be able to bend over
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to push and/or pull equipment
- Must be able to assist with ambulation
- Must pass the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- A minimum of 6 months hemodialysis experience preferred
