Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive admission assessments and develop dynamic care plans for pediatric medical and surgical patients across acute and post-operative care. Manage patient education, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration while maintaining rigorous Joint Commission standards and documentation protocols. Lead in-services, patient care conferences, and performance improvement activities to ensure safe, therapeutic environments for children and families. Requires 36-hour week with rotating 12-hour shifts, night coverage, and weekend/holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school
- Current state license
- CPR (BLS) certification
- ACLS certification within six months of transfer or hire
- PALS certification within six months of transfer or hire
- Prior working knowledge of using computer programs and electronic medical records
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Minimum of two years of experience in an acute hospital setting
- Pediatric experience
