Job Summary
Registered Nurse on Cardiac ICU/Neuro units providing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care; supervises non-RN personnel, may assume charge nurse responsibilities; demonstrates expertise in neuro assessments, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and post-operative/critical care nursing; participates in education of patients and families, collaborates with healthcare team, adheres to unit policies, and supports organizational values (integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, compassion).
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BCLS certification required or must obtain within one month of hire
