Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) on a specialized unit, providing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervising non-RN personnel; functioning as charge nurse and preceptor; delivering neuro-focused care and advanced cardiac/ventilator patient management; emphasizes adherence to unit policies, patient-centered care, and collaboration with healthcare team; includes education for patients and families and involvement in discharge planning; supports cardiothoracic/neuro ICU care with exposure to devices and advanced therapies
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
