Job Summary
Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive care on a nursing unit with supervision of non-RN personnel, potential to serve as charge nurse, and opportunities to precept and lead. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and documenting care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, education for patients and families, and ensuring smooth operation of the unit. The role supports specialty units such as Neuro and Cardiac ICU, with advanced skills in neuro assessment, airway management, care of tracheostomy and ventilated patients, and familiarity with devices and post-operative care for complex cardiac patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged.
