Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments on assigned ICU patients, prioritize needs, and document measurable goals within the plan of care. Collaborate with families and the healthcare team to coordinate discharge planning, medication reconciliation, and patient education using the teach-back methodology. Administer safe medications via bar coding, round hourly, and convey complete information during shift reports. Lead patient care for assigned patients, direct support techs, and participate in unit huddles and quality initiatives to prevent falls, pressure ulcers, and infections. Ensure all EMR documentation is complete and adhere to the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. Requires an Illinois RN license, BSN, and BLS certification. Weekend full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois
- Bachelors of Science Nursing
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
