Registered Nurse - IMCU - Full Time Nights

Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Performs a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission using observation, communication, and examination; collect data from patient, family, and other health-care team members. Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnoses, standards of care/practice, interventions, and attainable outcomes. Plan for patient teaching, discharge and post-discharge needs as appropriate for patient population. Function independently with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to areas per policy and competency-based assessment. Handle, transport, store, and administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital procedures. Document accurately and timely. Reassess patient condition, evaluate response, and modify plan of care accordingly and promptly. Assume charge responsibilities and assign staff considering patient condition and care requirements, acuity, and complexity. Facilitate staff development. Maintain healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Maintain position-specific qualifications. Demonstrate responsibility for communications and special assignments.
