Job Summary
Registered Nurse II for the West Campus Operating Room specializing in Orthopedic/Total Joints/Sports Medicine/Spine cases. Provides scrub and circulating roles in outpatient OR, with a 40-hour day shift (630-1700) and no nights or weekends; environment includes 5 OR suites, endoscopy rooms, VIR, and Cath/EP Lab, within MUSC Magnet-designated ambulatory surgery facility. Focuses on individualized patient care, collaboration with the health-care team, and adherence to nursing processes to achieve optimal outcomes. Requires RN licensure (SC or compact), BLS certification, and a BSN pathway consideration for ADN/Diploma holders.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer)
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired with an Associate or Diploma in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years
