Job Summary
Provide assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care in an acute surgical unit, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. Develop and implement a plan of care that incorporates psychosocial factors; foster collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communication; ensure PHI privacy and compliance with policies and regulations; work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in nursing theories, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology; strong time-management, organization, and communication skills; basic computer skills (Word/Outlook).
Required Qualifications
- RN license (state where care is provided)
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Minimum six months acute care experience within the last two years (preferred)
