Job Summary
Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process under general supervision. Deliver safe and effective care for medical/surgical post-surgical patients in observation status and post-surgical phase 2 until discharge. Manage preoperative care for inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Work rotating weekends and holidays from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with 36 weekly hours. Requires a Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or an Associate/Diploma degree with enrollment in an accredited BSN program within two years. Must hold current Basic Life Support certification and one year of registered nurse experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
