Job Summary
Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients in the ICU at the competent level using the nursing process. Deliver safe and effective care while interacting with the health care team to achieve desired results. Work rotating shifts, including nights, with a schedule of 24 or 48 hours per 6 weeks. Maintain licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing, hold current BLS certification, and possess required ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to lift/lower objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted
- Ability to lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs.
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force
- Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes
- Ability to match or discriminate between colors
- Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception
- Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction
- Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to work overtime as required
