Job Summary

Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care in the emergency department, including direct patient care, education, and transitions of care. Develop and implement individualized plans of care that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through timely communication. Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable laws to promote an optimal patient experience. Prioritize assignments within standardized procedures to meet time-sensitive activities while ensuring patient privacy. Work independently in an ever-changing environment, utilizing critical thinking to solve routine or complex problems. Engage team members and diverse audiences in stressful situations. Nights shift with per diem/casual hours, 12 days a week, variable schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • RN license
  • Evidence completion of a RN program
  • RN-Registered Nurse for the state where care is provided
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices
  • Medical terminology
  • Anatomy

  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry
