Registered Nurse II

Triage patients and families by telephone or in person according to medical priority, then assess health status and provide counseling and teaching. Administer vaccines, medications, treatments, and regimens prescribed by the physician, while performing laboratory tests, determinations, and cultures per manufacturer and Laboratory Director procedures. Monitor assigned ADHD, asthma, and mental health patients to ensure appropriate follow-up, visits, labs, tests, imaging, and consults are scheduled as ordered. Maintain active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license and certification, complete continuing education, and adhere to HIPAA regulations and AHP policies for patient protected health information. Accurately report and document all nursing advice, medications, treatments, laboratory results, and scheduled ancillary services in a timely manner. Participate in daily care team huddles, quality improvement initiatives, monthly staff meetings, and clinical department meetings.
