Job Summary
Registered Nurse II on an adult inpatient/mental health unit (3N) providing individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and collaborates with the health care team to achieve desired results. The role requires 36 hours per week on day shifts (3-12 hour shifts with some weekends). Minimum training includes RN licensure in SC or a compact state and BLS certification. Bachelor's degree preferred; BSN must be pursued if hired with an Associate or Diploma and within specified timelines. Minimum of one year RN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
- RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
