Job Summary
Assess, plan, deliver, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for patients across the lifespan while maintaining accurate health data collection and analysis. Implement interventions based on patient diagnoses, evaluate progress toward goals, and adhere to approved research-based practice standards. Direct and supervise patient care provided by LPNs and support personnel, acting effectively as charge nurse, group leader, or preceptor when assigned. Advocate for patient autonomy, dignity, and rights while ensuring informed consent for procedures and acting ethically on behalf of patients. Participate in quality improvement processes, nursing research, and educational activities to advance clinical practice and nursing science.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Vocational / Technical Diploma Professional Nursing Program
- Minimum one year experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current NYS license as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification
