Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with conditions including sepsis, diabetes, and post-operative surgical needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, manage discharge education, and delegate tasks while maintaining legal and ethical compliance. Document care accurately using electronic systems and adapt interventions based on patient responses. Float to other units within the facility as needed and accept assignments across Intermountain regions. Work variable shifts for a 3-month assignment with a flat rate of $58–$65/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc
- Must be able to accept assignments in any Intermountain region
- Must be able to work at any Intermountain facility
- Includes locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada
- Must be available for travel
- Must be able to float if not needed at assigned facility
- Must be able to work variable shifts
- Must be able to work full-time hours during a 3-month assignment
- Must be able to work 2–3 assignments per calendar year
- Must be able to work at St. Mary's Regional Hospital
- Must be able to work in Grand Junction, Colorado
