Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across Med Surg units while utilizing evidence-based practice and therapeutic interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, delegate tasks, and prepare patients for discharge with education and referrals. Maintain compliance with legal standards, document care accurately, and adapt interventions based on patient responses. Float to other units within the facility as needed to support multiple sites across the Intermountain network. Manage admissions for conditions including sepsis, diabetes, respiratory issues, and post-operative surgical care.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Expected to fill 's Regional Hospital
- Our iFlex RNs are expected to float if not needed at assigned facility
- All iFlex employees will be expected to accept assignments in any Intermountain region
- Work at any Intermountain facility
- Includes locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada
- Variable shifts
- Full-time hours during a 3-month assignment
- 2–3 assignments per calendar year required
