Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across Med Surg and ICU units, including sepsis, diabetes, and post-operative cases. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and prepare patients for discharge. Document care accurately while maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards. Float to other units within the facility as needed. This 3-month full-time assignment requires 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience, a current RN license, and BLS certification. Pay ranges from $58 to $65 per hour with quarterly adjustments. Housing reimbursement applies for assignments over 50 miles from home.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc
- Must be able to accept assignments in any Intermountain region
- Must be able to work at any Intermountain facility
- Includes locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada
- Must be available for travel
- Must be able to float if not needed at assigned facility
