Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, respiratory, pediatric, surgical, maternity, and oncology units. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, delegate tasks, and prepare patients for discharge with education and referrals. Float between units and regions as needed while maintaining compliance with legal standards and documenting care accurately. This role requires frequent patient interactions, manual dexterity for equipment operation, and the ability to lift and transfer patients in busy hospital environments. Full-time assignments of 3 months with 2–3 rotations per year, offering competitive pay and housing reimbursement for locations over 50 miles from home.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- All iFlex employees will be expected to accept assignments in any Intermountain region and work at any Intermountain facility
- This includes locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada
- Our iFlex RNs are expected to float if not needed at assigned facility
