Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, respiratory, pediatric, surgical, maternity, and oncology units. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, delegate tasks, and prepare patients for discharge with education and referrals. Document care accurately while maintaining compliance with legal standards, utilizing clinical judgment and evidence-based practice to adapt interventions based on patient response. Float to other units within the facility as needed and accept assignments across Intermountain regions including Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must be able to float to other units within the facility as needed
- Expected to fill Regional Hospital
- All iFlex employees will be expected to accept assignments in any Intermountain region and work at any Intermountain facility
- Locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc
