Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, diabetes, and cardiac care while utilizing evidence-based practice and technology. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, delegate tasks, and prepare patients for discharge with education and referrals. Maintain compliance with legal standards, document care accurately, and adapt interventions based on patient responses. Float to other units within the facility as needed and accept assignments across Intermountain regions including Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada. This full-time role involves variable shifts over a three-month assignment with a pay rate of $58–$65/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
