Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and surgical units while floating to other units as needed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, develop individualized care plans, and prepare patients for discharge. Maintain compliance with legal standards and document care accurately using electronic systems. This ICU role supports Intermountain's internal travel network, requiring adaptability for assignments in Billings, Montana, and other regions.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
  • Obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment
  • Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Expected to fill Regional Hospital
  • All iFlex employees will be expected to accept assignments in any Intermountain region
  • Work at any Intermountain facility
  • Includes locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada
  • Variable shifts
  • Full-time hours during a 3-month assignment
  • 2–3 assignments per calendar year required
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Particularly during emergency
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care
  • Accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc
