Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Cardiac ICU/Neuro ICU environment. Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care; supervises non-RN personnel; may serve as Charge Nurse; supports education and multidisciplinary collaboration; delivers care in alignment with unit policies and procedures and participates in teaching and mentoring as part of the SPIRE clinical advancement framework. Requires CT RN licensure and current BCLS certification; BSN preferred. Cardiac ICU, CTICU, and related high-acuity units with specialized equipment and post-operative care including advanced heart failure management and ECMO/ventilator support are described in the unit scope.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
