Job Summary
Provide direct total patient care in the ICU across diverse patient cohorts (cardiothoracic, general surgical, medical, orthopaedic, and complex procedures) as part of a 6-month ISP program designed for Division One RNs. Participate in discharge planning, infection management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team under the guidance of Clinical Educators. Gain exposure to advanced clinical skills in a supported environment, with the potential to apply for elective study credit towards ICU postgraduate coursework. Flexible day and night shifts with the option of 12-hour shifts for suitable candidates, within St John of God Health Care's mission-driven ICU team.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- recent clinical experience in an acute care or relevant healthcare environment
- willingness to further develop clinical skills in a critical care setting
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience
