Job Summary
Effectively use the nursing process to deliver patient care, assess learning needs, and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources while serving as a leader within the unit. Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respect privacy, and request permissions for procedures. Evaluate data to promote change and achieve optimal outcomes, while maintaining involvement in activities aimed at unit and department strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse diploma
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
