Job Summary
Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions. Continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters using advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps while safely administering medications, IV fluids, and blood products. Manage life-support devices including dialysis machines and monitor patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions. Provide emotional support and education to patients' families and document all aspects of care to ensure continuity and compliance. Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
