Job Summary
Coordinate quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and manage operational issues during night shifts. Provide clinical care as census demands, communicate patient care and departmental concerns to leaders, and serve as a resource for staff guidance. This full-time night shift role at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital requires an RN with Georgia State licensure and specific certifications including ACLS, PALS, and BCLS. Candidates must complete orientation-specific programs such as NRP and AWHONN within designated timeframes. Sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- ~1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery)
- PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology)
- NRP by the end of orientation period (Womens Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery)
- PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital)
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- TNCC Certifications required at the following hospitals: Piedmont Athens, Piedmont Cartersville, Piedmont Columbus Midtown, Piedmont Henry, Piedmont Newton, Piedmont Walton
- ENPC Certifications required at the following hospitals: Piedmont Athens, Piedmont Cartersville, Piedmont Columbus Midtown, Piedmont Newton
- Infusion/Oncology: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration
- PALS Certification (required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital)
- PEARS Certification (required at Piedmont Athens Hospital)
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
