Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and direct patient care direction to non-licensed personnel in the ICU under Medical Staff direction. Manage patients requiring critical care while ensuring adherence to hospital objectives. Maintain current Texas licensure, American Heart Association BLS certification, and Advance Cardiac Life Support within six months of hire. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and teamwork skills alongside basic clinical and computer proficiency. This full-time day shift role is at OakBend Medical Center, an independent hospital offering a No Wait ER, trauma center, and stroke program since 1950.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Previous clinical nursing experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse, or Graduate Nurse, Board Eligible
- American Heart Association BLS
- Completion of Advance Cardiac Life Support within six months of hire
- Interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and team work skills
- Basic clinical, computer & typing skills
