Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit

Registered Nurse on the ICU Neuro unit float, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Provides supervision of non-RN staff, and serves as Charge Nurse when assigned. Develops individualized plans of care, educates patients and families, and documents outcomes. Demonstrates competency in neuro-focused care including neuro assessment, airway management, care of ventilated and tracheostomy patients, and procedures such as suctioning and handling Halo braces. Acts as a preceptor to new staff, participates in discharge planning and patient education, and contributes to unit performance and service quality. BSN preferred; requires acute nursing experience and CT RN licensure; BLS required.
