Job Summary
Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care on specialized neuro/cardiac ICU units; provide supervision of non-RN personnel, serve as charge nurse, and precept new staff; manage complex cardiac/neuro patients, including airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilation support, and involvement with ECMO/advanced devices; collaborate with healthcare team to develop individualized plans of care and facilitate education for patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the state of Connecticut; Clinical specialty certification encouraged
- BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
