Registered Nurse - ICU Float Unit

Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on an ICU-focused unit, with supervision of Non-RN personnel, and potential charge nurse responsibilities. Monitors neuro patients, demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and ventilator care. Provides education to patients and families, documents outcomes, and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and revise care plans. Serves as a preceptor to new staff and plays a role in discharge planning and education following patient needs assessments. Requires ability to use electronic patient records, commitment to performance standards, and adaptability to float between units as needed.
