Registered Nurse - ICU Float Unit

Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit responsible for ongoing patient assessment, developing and documenting individualized care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, and supervising non-RN staff. Responsibilities include teaching patients and families, ensuring readiness for discharge, acting as preceptor to new staff, and functioning as charge nurse. Specialty focus includes care for neuro and post-operative cardiac patients, airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and experience with mechanical circulatory support devices and ECMO considerations. Requires BSN-preferred education, CT RN licensure, and BCLS; opportunities for professional development and advancement are provided within Cardiac ICU and related units.
