Job Summary
Registered Nurse - ICU Float Unit on a Neuro-focused ICU unit. Provides assessments, develops plans of care, implements and evaluates care, and coordinates with the healthcare team. Serves as preceptor to new staff and may act as Charge Nurse. Demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management, care for trached patients, and specialized neuro procedures; knowledgeable in Halo brace care and ventilator management; participates in patient education and discharge planning; fosters adherence to unit policies and performance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
