Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit

Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on an ICU unit, supervising non-RN personnel, and potentially serving as Charge Nurse. Duties include developing and documenting individualized plans of care, collaborating with the healthcare team, measuring outcomes and readiness for discharge, providing patient and family education, and mentoring new staff. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care, including neuro assessment, airway management, care of tracheostomy patients, and handling ventilated patients; skilled in Halo brace care and peri-procedural neuro duties. Supports educational activities, participates in performance reviews, and ensures smooth unit operation. Requires BSN (preferred), 1 year neonatal ICU RN experience, and valid CT RN license; BLS certification.
