Job Summary
Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on neonatal? not specified; focus on adult neuro/cardiac ICU units; provide supervision of non-RN personnel, act as charge nurse, and preceptor to new staff. Demonstrates skill in neuro assessment, airway management, and care of trached patients; works under Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator; adherence to unit policies, performance in customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and professional development; BSN preferred and CT RN licensure required; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; units include Cardiac ICU, CTICU, and CV ICU/Stepdown with advanced devices and ECMO considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification (obtain within one month of hire)
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
